Promotion of Thai Foods in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais




During 16 – 17 April 2018, H.E. Mr. Surasak Suparat, Ambassador of Thailand to Brazil, together with the Embassy staff was in Belo Horizonte to promote Thai food and its ingredients in Verdemar Store, the leading hyper markets in the state of Minas Gerais.   
        
The Ambassador made his remarks that Thai food is famous for its balanced tastes and uniqueness and the ingredients for Thai food can be purchased at Verdemar and Asian Food Stores in the Central Market of Belo Horizonte.  
         
Approximately 50 persons participated in the 2 days Thai cooking demonstration.   Four famous dishes were demonstrated step-by-step, (1) Thai chicken soup with galangal (2)Thai beef red curry (3) Prawn Phad Thai and (4) Pumpkin in coconut milk.
        
The Ambassador also used this occasion to promote the clip of Thai cooking recipe created by Thailand Foundation in the Facebook of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand.       
             
The Royal Thai Embassy continuously promotes Thai food and ingredients under the “Kitchen of the World” policy. The demonstration of Thai food cookingcould help leading to more importation of Thai food products into Brazil.
