TOURIST VISA

 

1.REQUIREMENT - This type of visa is issued to applicants who wish to enter the Kingdom for tourism purpose.Please note that nationals of Brazil are entitled for tourist visa exemption scheme for 90 days due to a bilateral agreement between Thailand and Brazil. 2.SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS

2.1Tourist (TR) Visa (Single Entry)

1.    Biodata page of valid Passport or Travel Document (with validity not less than 6 months)

2.    Two recent (3.5 x 4.5 cm.) photographs of the applicant, taken within the past six months

3.    Proof of accommodation in Thailand, e.g. accommodation bookings, invitation letters from family/friends in Thailand

4.    Travel booking confirmation (air ticket paid in full)

5.    Financial evidence, e.g. bank statements, proof of earnings, sponsorship letter (R$2,500 per person or R$ 4,500 per family)

6.    Confirmation of legal residence in a country in which you are applying for the visa. (In case that you are not a national of the country in which you are applying for the visa.)

7.    Yellow fever certificate

8.    Consular officers reserve the rights to request additional documents as deemed necessary

 

2.2 Tourist (TR) Visa (Single Entry) –recreation learning or training related activities, e.g. Scuba diving, boxing training, Thai massage training and Thai culinary learning (by registered institutes and non-registered institutes)

1.  Biodata page of valid Passport or Travel Document (with validity not less than 6 months)

2.  Two recent (3.5 x 4.5 cm.) photographs of the applicant, taken within the past six months

3.  Travel booking confirmation (air ticket paid in full)

4.  Proof of accommodation in Thailand, e.g. accommodation bookings, invitation letters from family/friends in Thailand

5.  Financial evidence, e.g. bank statements, proof of earnings, sponsorship letter (R$2,500 per person or R$ 4,500 per family)

6.  Letter of acceptance from institutes or companies organizing activities

7.  Yellow fever certificate

2.3Tourist (TR) Visa (Single Entry) – Football Player Trial

1.  Biodata page of Valid Passport or Travel Document (with validity not less than 6 months)

2.  Two recent (3.5 x 4.5 cm.) photographs of the applicant, taken within the past six months

3.  Travel booking confirmation (air ticket paid in full)

4.  Financial evidence, e.g. bank statements, proof of earnings, sponsorship letter (R$2,500 per person or R$ 4,500 per family)

5.  Invitation letter from football club

6.  Yellow fever certificate

2.4Tourist Visa (MT) (Single Entry) and Non-Immigrant Visa Category O (Single Entry) – Medical treatment with registered hospitals

1.    Biodata page of valid Passport or Travel Document (with validity not less than 6 months)

2.    Two recent (3.5 x 4.5 cm.) photographs of the applicant, taken within the past six months

3.    Travel booking confirmation (air ticket paid in full)

4.    Financial evidence, e.g. bank statements, proof of earnings, sponsorship letter from a third party (R$2,500 per person or R$ 4,500 per family)

5.    Letter of appointment from hospital/medical center

6.    Copy of hospital/medical center registration certificate

7.    Yellow Fever Certificate

2.5 Tourist (TR) Visa (Single Entry) – participants of MICE (Meeting, Incentives, Convention & Exhibitions) supported by TCEB (Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau)

1.    Biodata page of valid Passport or Travel Document (with validity not less than 6 months)

2.    Two recent (3.5 x 4.5 cm.) photographs of the applicant, taken within the past six months

3.    Travel booking confirmation (air ticket paid in full)

4.    Invitation letter from the event organizer

5.    Yellow Fever Certificate

6.    Consular officers reserve the rights to request additional documents as deemed necessary

 

2.6 Tourist (TR) Visa (Multiple Entry)

1.  Biodata page of valid Passport or Travel Document (with validity not less than 6 months)

2.  Two recent (3.5 x 4.5 cm.) photographs of the applicant, taken within the past six months

3.  Proof of accommodation in Thailand, e.g. accommodation bookings, invitation letters from family/friends in Thailand (of the first visit)

4.  Travel booking confirmation (of the first visit) (air ticket paid in full)

5.  Financial evidence, e.g. bank statements, proof of earnings, sponsorship letter (current balance not less than R$ 25,000 for the past 6 months)

6.  Residence permit in a country in which visa application is submitted (In case applicant is not a national of the country in which visa application is submitted.)

7.  Yellow fever certificate

8.  Consular officers reserve the rights to request additional documents as deemed necessary

 

3.VISA APPLICATION FORMClick here to download Twoapplication forms must be completely filled out and signed where indicated. Failure to submit the correct application form or submission of an incomplete application form will result in your application not being processed.  

 

4.VISA APPLICATION FEE

            4.1 Single Entry – R$ 150

            4.2 Multiple Entry – R$ 600

 

5. PROCESSING TIME– Please allow 3 working days for visa application to be processed. No exception will be made so it is the responsibility of the applicants to plan ahead.

 

6. METHODS OF APPLICATION

6.1 Apply directly at the Royal Thai Embassy in Brasilia from Monday to Friday from 9 am -12 pm. (except on public holidays)

6.2 By post

6.2.1 Application from Brazil – Applicants may apply through post by preparing required documents and fees and send to the Embassy along with a fee for the Embassy to return the processed visa back to the applicant via Sedex. The Embassy assumes no responsibility forthe content / cash put inside the envelope.

6.2.2 Application from Guyana and Suriname – Applicants may apply through express / international couriers. Please attach a check for the fees as well as a pre-paid return envelope. Please allow at least 2 weeks for the whole process. The Embassy assumes no responsibility for the content / check put inside the envelope.     

           

7. VALIDITY OF A VISA- The validity of a visa is 3 months for single entry visa and 6 months for multiple entry visa.

             

8. PERIOD OF STAY - Upon arrival, travelers with this type of visa will be permitted to stay in Thailand for a period of not exceeding 60 days up to the discretion of the Thai Immigration.

 

9. EXTENSION OF STAY - Those who wish to stay longer or may wish to change their type of visa must file an application for permission at the Office of Immigration Bureau located on Government Center B, Chaengwattana Soi 7, Laksi, Bangkok 10210, Tel 0-2141-9889 (or at http://www.immigration.go.th).    The extension of stay as well as the change of certain type of visa is solely at the discretion of the Immigration officer.


10. REMARKS

10.1 Please note that the Consul reserves the right to request any additional documents, or an interview with the applicant, as deemed necessary, without prior notice.

10.2The Royal Thai Embassy reserves the right to reject any visa application with insufficient documents or if the reasons given are not fully supported.

10.3 The visa application fee is non-refundable.
